學習目標

To highlight the role of management preferences in the formulation and implementation of strategy.

To illustrate some of the pitfalls that unrelated diversification can bring.

Because of this dual focus, the case can be used as a bridge between the management preferences and strategic balance sections of the course. Aer Lingus - ATS (A) - Video is strongly recommended, which effectively conveys the nature and strength of Klaus' management preferences.
