The Invisible Barriers Holding Top Talent Back
New research suggests that people's judgments of equity depend on their beliefs about the structural causes of success. When they take into account the overlooked structural factors that influence how people work is evaluated and their ability to be productive, their ideas of fairness begin to shift. This finding is particularly salient when evaluating the work of women, who often face invisible barriers. The researchers suggest four takeaways for organizations and managers to address this.
