Determining what employees want from their jobs has long been important to employers who wish to motivate them. This note explains the concepts of work values, organizational culture, and person-organization fit. Students will complete a personal values profile and an organizational culture profile to allow assessment of person-organization fit.
學習目標
This note can be used with cases on organizational culture, person-organization fit, and job choice. Students can use the personal values profile to rate themselves and/or a decision maker in a case. Students can use the organizational culture profile to rate an organization where they work or have worked, or to rate an organization described in a case.
