2013年所爆發的大統油品危機事件，造成台灣民眾對油品產業的不信任，事件引發更深層的思考：事件是「人」的問題所造成的？還是「產業」的問題所造成的？亦或是「政府」的管理效能不彰呢？為何相關單位無法確保食品安全呢？事件造成了哪些影響？未來該如何改善食安問題呢？經由本個案，協助學員逐一探討相關企業倫理問題。
