A people experience platform, entomo delivers a digital experience for all customers' employees to revamp talent development, performance, and engagement through hyper-personalized insights and nudges for each employee. The entomo talent experience suite provides a solution for all facets required for enhanced talent development and people performance. Recognizing that 'enterprises of tomorrow' require hyper-personalized experiences of relevant upskilling, the entomo platform enables an individualized skill gap analysis, learning journey, and nudges for self-development. At an aggregate level, the platform also indicated skill repository analysis, which enabled strategic investment in talent acquisition and/or development. entomo is increasingly receiving recognition and awards as a leader in digital performance management. However, a myopic view by some industry practitioners, who preferred to use the subjective assessment of organizational skills or focus on other HR initiatives rather than getting the organization future-ready, presented some challenges to entomo. Employees, those experiencing technology and digital fatigue, were further challenged by yet another platform, thus reducing the stickiness of the offering. -

Workplace conflict aggravated her situation, receiving increased workload, longer work hours, lack of compensation for overtime, delegated work from other paralegals, and monitored office activity. Even the process for approval of time off work was changed, making it more cumbersome for her to take a one-day leave. The paralegal wondered how to resolve her situation. -

In September 2021, the chief human resources officer of the video intelligence firm Wobot.ai saw a negative review on the online platform Glassdoor, which accused her of being a figurehead who achieved her leadership position only because she was the founder’s wife. Despite her numerous professional achievements, including being recognized as one of the 2019 “Shepreneurs: Women to Watch” by Entrepreneur India magazine, the chief human resources officer was shaken by the demeaning sexist remark in the glaringly public review that threatened her personal brand and the company’s reputation. The review had already deterred one potential applicant from joining the organization. The chief human resources officer considered the review a personal attack and wanted to defend her personal brand identity. She was also eager to call out offensive stereotypical remarks that could create a hostile workplace environment. Let's Call Quiet Quitting What It Often Is: Calibrated Contributing
When the term quiet quitting is applied to employees whose efforts don't exceed what's in their job descriptions, it fails to recognize the current reality of real wages that have significantly decreased over the past 50 years while executive pay has skyrocketed. The author argues that quiet quitting should be replaced with a different label calibrated contributing that reflects an employee's rational choice to do the work they're paid for rather than go above and beyond unrewarded. -

The article outlines four opportunities for companies. They can optimize benefits and health plan offerings, address social determinants of health, expand primary care and mental health access through virtual care and community partnerships, and make benefits and health care easy to navigate. By January 2022, approximately 100 employees from Microsoft Corporation’s (Microsoft) HoloLens division, which had pioneered augmented reality (AR), quit. Most joined Meta Platforms Inc. (formerly Facebook), despite the company’s recent controversies. Meta was seeking talent for metaverse technology that required AR and virtual reality (VR) expertise. Metaverse talent was scant industry wide. Meta offered double salaries to poach talent from Microsoft, its partner for different projects. The executives leaving Microsoft were key employees of the HoloLens division. Microsoft’s choice to not hire more engineers after the US Army contract led employees to question Microsoft’s commitment toward HoloLens, a part of metaverse technology. However, Satya Nadella, chief executive officer of Microsoft, confirmed Microsoft’s commitment toward metaverse technology, though some employees disagreed. What could Nadella do to retain HoloLens employees? With an increasing demand for metaverse-related skills, how could Nadella attract more talent? Was Meta’s employee poaching likely to bring any good news for Microsoft? -
