Work on a space mission involves extended periods of labor in confined spaces, a tight integration of overlapping personal and professional time, and limited physical social interactions with colleagues similar to the home-based work environments that many hybrid and remote employees are experiencing. The authors found that a focus on routine can help and offer three strategies for building routines that can benefit remote individuals and their teams.
